Jake Slegers

As Barger Prekop’s International Business Relations Manager, Jake Slegers supports the firm’s cross-border practice, particularly with US and UK based companies. Jake oversees strategic market opportunities through drawing on his extensive experience and the firm’s rich network of cooperating firms and clientele in the region, Europe, and overseas.

As an American living in Slovakia for over 25 years, he has extensive experience cooperating with international companies operating and investing in CEE. For nearly two decades, Jake acted as the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic. He has a long track record of interacting with business-related agencies and with facilitating international investment and global export opportunities.

Jake was awarded the Medal of the Slovak President for his contributions to the development of Slovak-American relations and efforts in presenting Slovakia abroad.
